If you've already been writing training plans for yourself or others, you're probably beyond excited when you achieve the desired outcome.

But, you've probably realised (from personal experience)

Writing effective training plans is TOUGH!

In fact, many athletes report feeling overtrained on race day when following a training plan. Citing that workouts are often too hard to complete.

You're fully aware of training zones and their importance in intensity prescription, but how does that factor in for aerobically deficient athletes Vs anaerobically dominant athletes.

You know that to consistently improve an athlete you must;

  • Ensure the right work to rest ratio.

  • Stop them from training too hard or too easy.

  • Target the specific physiological demands of the event.

  • Improve their anaerobic/lactate threshold

  • Continuously monitor their fitness and fatigue parameters.

You still feel like it's hard to provide the right training for every athlete.

After years of competing, studying, teaching, and coaching...... the truth is.....

If you want to achieve "Thank you, that plan was amazing. I smashed my PR!"

success with your training plans, you need to have a solid evidence-based system...... yesterday.

Dr Matt Miller

Dr Matt Miller is an exercise scientist and entrepreneur focused on MTB rider performance. He was the first to publish findings on using FTP to predict MTB race performance and pioneered braking analysis on the trails.

Matt is the Inventor and Founder of BrakeAce, the world's first brake sensor and analysis app. BrakeAce was successfully funded on Kickstarter in August 2021. He has coached gravity and endurance MTB racers 1-on-1, including riders earning multiple USA National Championships and top-10 overall finishes in the Enduro World Series.

Dr Will O'Connor

Dr Will O’Connor is a running scientist and coach educator at TrainingPeaks.

Will drew on his background in organic chemistry to complete a PhD in Sport & Exercise Science at Massey University, where his research investigated metabolic flexibility and ketogenic diets in ultra-endurance performance. Will competes at the Elite level in ultra running events, and has been using a power meter since day one. He has coached a plethora of athletes from running to triathlon around the world.
